Hook is a creative agency that continues to grow in user traffic. I noticed the original Hook menu lacked global navigation, which negatively impacted site traffic.

That's where I stepped in—I helped Hook redesign the menu with improved UX, resulting in increased traffic.

Old Hook Site with no navigation

The ask

Enhance the Hook navigation menu to drive more traffic.

Key Finding

After conducting competitive analysis on other design agency websites and identifying best practices in UX patterns, I realized the full menu should focus on supplementary content—things users would want to further explore or read.

A global navigation is essential for better affordance across the agency's site.

Beyond just offering more links, the full menu can be a powerful tool for showcasing additional content. As Hook transformed their new site, they wanted to highlight articles and features. My solution was to leverage the full menu as a way to bring attention to these key elements for users.

Working within tight constraints:

While working on the new website, I faced tight constraints. I had to deeply explore solutions that would be effective within these limits. I found this process enjoyable as it pushed me to think creatively and embrace the challenge.
